Michael Martin is a certified dive instructor with a passion for marine life, conservation, and safety. With over five years of hands-on experience in scuba diving, marine education, coral restoration, and animal care, Michael has built a strong foundation in both underwater safety management and environmental stewardship.
Having worked at renowned locations such as Turquoise Bay Resort and Marine Life Park in Roatan, Honduras, Michael has instructed individuals of all skill levels in safe diving practices, developed educational materials, and led workshops focused on marine conservation. Additionally, he has spearheaded coral restoration projects, researching resilient coral species and monitoring transplantation success to combat environmental damage.
Throughout his career, education has remained a priority. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from the California Polytechnic State, Michael designed interactive activities that introduced children to aquatic ecosystems, fostering a deeper understanding of marine life and the importance of conservation. In collaboration with other experts, he also contributed to wetland ecosystem research, studying bald eagle behavior and analyzing the effects of oil spills on wildlife.
In addition to environmental work, Michael has always had a passion for service and helping those in need. He has gained valuable experience in customer relations, team collaboration, and leadership, which makes him an ideal member of the Doc1 Foundation Team. He is committed to ensuring that no veteran goes without a meal or a safe place to rest their head at night.
